Game adaption to movies or shows you like?

Posted 10 Months ago by Lord Denida

Seeing the new Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City trailer reminded me of the movie adaptions over time. There's been quite a few; too many to list lol

I personally really liked the Silent Hill one. But it is a different medium so they do have to change the material to account for that.

What adaptions do you like?

Detective Pikachu was a pretty great adaptation. I felt like it brought some elements of the world to life in a really cool way.

But, due to the style of the movie (Detective, and fairly simplistic), it has no rewatch value. I can't sit through a rewatch, despite *loving* it in theaters.

I would've preferred a different genre/style movie as the first live-action adaptation, but am also looking forward to anything that may come out in the future. The bar was set pretty high with the quality of Detective Pikachu.

Also, the Sonic movie was not as atrocious as I anticipated. It had a certain charm and fun to it, and wasn't "too kiddie" straight through. Pacing was great. I'm hoping for a sequel.

Agree with you the Silent Hill movie was good. Liked that one.

I'm kind of looking forward to the Mario movie, despite myself.
The Super Mario Bros Super Show was an 80's what the heck feature, but the cast of the new Super Mario movie tells me it's going to be comedic and fun, but I'm not sure what to expect outside of that.

I feel like I had something else to contribute, but I lost my train of thought.

Technically not a movie, but I remember REALLY liking The Legend of Neil. It's been AGES since I watched it, though, so I'm not sure if I'd still like it now that I'm not a teenager.

Edit: Nevermind, the title says movies OR SHOWS. I guess it counts after all.

What's this about?

Basically, some guy gets sucked into a game of The Legend of Zelda. The NES version. If course, since it's a crude comedy, it happened while he was choking himself with the controller wire and jacking off to the fairy.

Detective Pikachu was easily the best video game adaptation to movie, in my opinion.

But I also do have a soft spot for that first Paul W.S. Anderson Mortal Kombat.

Silent Hill was GOAT.

I personally did like the 2nd Resident Evil movie. But Im just a sucker for this scene.

Actually after watching that scene, I am just a sucker for the whole movie ahaha.

The most recent Mortal Kombat movie was pretty good. The guy who played Kano was unexpectedly the most hilarious character and my favorite.
