Sharing my memes with the PlayStation twitter trolls

I never quite understood picking 1 console or platform and defending it like it gave birth to you but here we are and here I am getting to use meme's to troll them back:

Nice one. Games are what make the consoles. Nowadays most comes to PC anyway... (Minus Nintendo.)

Yeah, Nintendo is still famously stingy with thier IP's.

But the trolling continues. I've been trolling the same person and even made a new meme not long ago:

Love it.

Twitter is the place for trolls, nonsense arguments, and memes - it would appear you're using that platform correctly :P

Not sure if it's related to this thread, but feels kinda related: I saw a thing probably a couple weeks ago where Nintendo's Twitter account was like, "What are some of your all-time favorite Nintendo theme songs???" for some good ol' engagement, and then everyone kept linking to YouTube videos of the songs that would then get blocked by Nintendo, so the responses were just a whole bunch of fans posting videos that were "Copyright claimed by Nintendo."

I definitely have consoles I prefer. I really liked the PS4 and do prefer the PS5 over the XBox One and Series X. But not so much that I'll like, act like they're my friend I need to defend. I'll respond in conversation about what I like about it or whatever, but I'm too old at this point to have my preferences on incredibly superficial things be a stand-in for my identity or personality.

I think this is a thing I notice a lot lately, especially from Marvel fans who throw tantrums when like, Spider-Man doesn't get nominated for an Academy Award. It's like, no matter just how popular and mainstream nerd culture becomes, so many nerds are just still so insecure about the things they love. I strongly disagree with Roger Ebert's take about video games not being art, as per that controversial essay he wrote many years ago, but I do agree with his attitude of like, "But it's fine! You're allowed to love your video games!" Like, I wonder if this were always a thing, or if it's a newer development with the ways that companies now just mix entertainment and advertisement so overtly since the '80s, but like, do you think back in the day, people would maybe criticize Edgar Allen Poe and fans of his work would lose their minds about it?

I’m pretty sure that, even back in the day, some fans of E.A. Poe lost their minds over one thing or another!
